Our office is in Al-Mazraa, a short hop from Baramkeh and the university, and delivery anywhere inside Damascus is free. That means your hotel door in Sha'lan or Abu Rummaneh, an apartment building in Mezzeh, a family address in Bab Touma, or the fairground side of Umayyad Square — whichever address you are actually standing at. Delivery to Damascus International Airport, about 25 km down the airport road southeast of the centre, is free as well.
One practical note for the Old City: most lanes inside the walls are too narrow for a car, so if you are staying in a courtyard house near Bab Sharqi or Straight Street we will meet you at the gate rather than at the door. It is a two-minute walk and it saves a long reverse.
Driving here
Traffic thickens on the Mezzeh highway and around Umayyad Square in the late afternoon and thins out sharply on Friday mornings, which is the best few hours of the week to drive across town. Parking near Souq al-Hamidiyeh is close to hopeless; people leave the car around Marjeh or by Bab Sharqi and walk in. Anywhere else in the city, street parking is a matter of patience rather than luck.
Out of the city
From Al-Mazraa you are roughly an hour from Sednaya (about 30 km) and a little over an hour from Maaloula (about 56 km), both signposted off the northbound Homs road. Bloudan and Zabadani sit about 50 km northwest up the Barada valley — cooler air, a different weekend entirely. Head south instead and Bosra's Roman theatre is a morning's drive.
