Who we are. Tab Car Rental is a car rental company based in Al-Mazraa, Damascus. We hire cars to people who need to move around Syria on their own timetable — visitors arriving at Damascus International, families back for a few weeks, and people working between cities where a bus timetable is not a plan.

How a hire works. You book a named model, not just a class, and you get that model or an equivalent from the same class — the same seats, doors and luggage space, at the same price. We deliver it: free anywhere in Damascus and free at Damascus International Airport, $40 to Homs or Hama, $50 to Latakia or Tartus, and $55 to Aleppo or Aleppo airport. The delivery fee is added to your quote before you pay rather than mentioned at handover.
What we ask of a driver. The minimum age is 23. We accept driving licences issued in any country — this matters here, because a large share of the people who hire from us have not lived in Syria for years and hold a licence from somewhere else.
What is included. 200 km a day, with anything beyond that charged at $0.10 per kilometre. Fuel is full to full: the car goes out full and comes back full. Cancellation is free.
What a car costs. Daily rates run from $55 to $115 depending on the class of car, and the rate for each car is printed on that car's own page. Longer hires are cheaper per day, and the price you are quoted is the price you pay.
What we are not. We are not the cheapest company in Damascus and we do not try to be. What we offer is a named model at a stated price, an office that answers the phone, and no figure at handover that was not on the quote.
